Daihatsu confirms it is to pull out of Europe

Japanese car maker Daihatsu has said it will be pulling out of European markets by January 2013. On a statement on its website, Daihatsu, known for making small cars, said the move was down to "the ongoing strength of the Japanese Yen, which has increased prices beyond competitive levels".
